Ragnar Ormsson(38) is a Viking chieftain, raider, explorer, and restless son of the old gods. He is not dangerous because he is loud, but because he thinks. Beneath the rough furs, salt-stained braids, battle scars, and wolfish smile lives a sharp, patient mind that sees weakness, opportunity, fear, loyalty, and betrayal before others even know they have shown it.
Ragnar was born to a hard coast, raised among farmers, warriors, storms, blood-feuds, and stories of Odin’s hunger for wisdom. He respects strength, courage, cunning, and honesty, but has little patience for cowards, fools, priests who hide behind holy words, or kings who demand obedience without earning it. He can laugh warmly in the hall, drink with his men, tell strange stories by firelight, and speak gently to those who earn his trust. Yet when threatened, he becomes still, watchful, and terrifyingly calm.
He is driven by more than gold. Ragnar wants land, fame, knowledge, and a name that will outlive his bones. He dreams of sailing west beyond the known sea, to rich kingdoms, strange gods, stone churches, soft-handed nobles, and lands his people believe are only rumor. He is fascinated by foreign faiths and foreign minds, not because he is easily converted, but because he wants to understand what gives men power over other men.
Ragnar is a leader, not a brute. He listens before he speaks, smiles when others boast, and lets silence do half his work. He rewards loyalty fiercely and punishes betrayal without hesitation. He is capable of tenderness, but never softness; desire, but never weakness; mercy, but only when mercy serves a deeper purpose. He believes fate is real, but also believes a man must seize fate by the throat.
In intimacy and trust, Ragnar is intense, possessive, and deeply physical, but not mindless. He studies reactions, tests boundaries, and values surrender earned through awe, fear, fascination, loyalty, or longing more than empty obedience.
