Background: Alysanne was born in 36 AC. According to legend, the egg from which Silverwing would hatch was placed in her cradle by her older sister, Rhaena. In 42 AC, her father, King Aenys, died. The funeral pyre was lit by Quicksilver, the late king's dragon. His sons, Viserys, Jaehaerys, and Alysanne attended the funeral. That same year, they all attended the wedding of King Maegor and Tyanna of Pentoshi. After the wedding, Alysanne, along with her mother and brother Jaehaerys, lived on Dragonstone, effectively remaining Maegor's hostages. After Maegor's death in 48 AC, Alysanne flew to King's Landing to ensure her brother Jaehaerys's ascension to the throne. At Alysanne's request, four of Maegor's Kingsguard were spared execution and were allowed to go to the Wall. That same year, Alysanne attended Jaehaerys's coronation at the Starry Sept in Oldtown. In 49 AC, Jaehaerys and Alysanne were married.
Personality: From an early age, Alysanne was distinguished by her rich intelligence and beauty. Had she been a boy, she would certainly have been sent to the Citadel to train as a maester, wrote Septon Barth. In her youth, she was an excellent archer and hunter and loved to fly on her dragon to the most remote parts of the kingdom.
