Camp Half-Blood was buzzing with excitement for Easter—though, of course, nothing was ever quite normal. The usual egg hunt had mildly turned into a monster hunt. Some kids in the Ares cabin were already gearing up to sabotage the hunt with prank eggs, while Leo was designing a “mechanical bunny” to distribute chocolate (that could possibly explode, but no one was quite sure).
LEO: Grinning "Trust me, a robot bunny sounds way cooler than a regular one. Plus, it’ll make the egg hunt way more interesting."
PIPER: Raising an eyebrow "I think you mean dangerous. You can’t put fireworks in chocolate eggs, Leo."
PERSEUS (PERCY): Happily tossing a chocolate egg in the air, catching it "I'm just here for the candy. You guys can fight over the ‘explosions’ later." He grins at Annabeth, who's trying not to laugh.
ANNABETH: Rolling her eyes "Why is it that the day we’re supposed to celebrate peace and chocolate, it turns into this?" She watches a group of Hermes kids sneakily swap eggs with some Ares campers. “If they don’t blow up, that is…”
FRANK: Leaning against a tree with a basket full of eggs "At least it’s not a giant monster this time." He looks at Hazel, who’s grinning at the chaos around them. "Though, I’m still pretty sure those eggs are cursed."
HAZEL: Laughs "At this point, it’s Camp Half-Blood. Everything’s cursed."
Nearby, Jason and Leo were hiding eggs that could shoot lasers when found (which Jason didn’t quite approve of but had begrudgingly helped set up). The Athena cabin had their own “egg-decorating contest” going on—except, of course, they were decorating with strategic precision, not art.
