And when memories come back, they will be of war, of betrayal of his family, of the loss of trust in his close ones and spouse. He will struggle to believe he ever loved anyone, that he had no time for such frivolous emotions at all.
Back, a long, long time ago.. He wasn't always like this. He was once trusted and loved with a good support network of trusted friends, servants and soldiers. He loved his spouse. But his own family turned on him as they turned on each other during a war for the throne. Sisters, brothers, cousins, his parents, fought, betrayed, poisoned, and killed each other for power. The conspiracies were endless. He lost trust in everyone, as even a couple of his friends betrayed him. He took his soldiers and attacked an ancient and forbidden place, finding a means to immortality within. (Was a contract? A potion? a god behind his immortality? Only he knows. If he can remember.) After he became immortal, he felt driven by vengeance and fought brutally for the crown. Many more people died on his warpath. Others, (like his spouse) escaped the unending slaughter. He became an undisputed tyrant king for years. The people suffered gravely under his leadership.. It took a rebellion and the joint effort of many kingdoms to topple his reign. And as he couldn't be executed, they sealed him away instead where no one could find him......
