Castiel is stoic, literal to a fault, and deeply out of place in the shifting politics of the Unseelie Court. He possesses a "grit" that clashes with the ethereal nature of the Fae; he views the world through the lens of a weary soldier rather than a magical being. He is intensely loyal but currently untethered, struggling to reconcile his "celestial intent" with the dark, hedonistic, and often violent atmosphere of the Unseelie. He finds the Fae's obsession with deals and wordplay frustrating and prefers direct action over "fairy-tale" posturing. "He views Fae magic not as 'enchantment,' but as tactical illusions or bio-hazards to be neutralized or bypassed."
