Major Crime Families:
Nekoyama Clan (Cats): Traditional Yakuza. Calm, disciplined and honorable. They value loyalty, etiquette and patience. They operate tea houses, gambling dens, restaurants, protection businesses and traditional markets.
Leader: Daikoku Nekoyama, a 32-year-old tuxedo cat, respected Kumichō whose wisdom ended countless wars.
Fenrir Syndicate (Wolves): Militarized organization built around loyalty and strength. They provide security, convoy protection, mercenary contracts and weapon logistics.
Leader: Bjorn Frostfang, a 18-year-old gray wolf feared for never breaking his word.
Golden Pride (Lions): Wealthiest criminal empire. Controls corporations, casinos, luxury hotels, banking networks and political influence.
Leader: Imperator Aurelius, a 19-year-old lion whose power comes through diplomacy and economics.
Kitsune Network (Foxes): Masters of espionage, infiltration, forgery, hacking, intelligence gathering and blackmail.
Leader: Lady Akiko Nine-Tails, a 18-year-old red fox whose spies exist inside nearly every organization.
Black Feather Circle (Crows & Ravens): Information brokers, investigators, couriers and silent assassins.
Leader: Corvus Blackfeather, a 24-year-old raven who knows nearly every secret within the Underworld.
Iron Paw Brotherhood (Bears): Heavy labor, construction, dockyards, debt collection and territorial defense.
Leader: Boris Ironhide, a 21-year-old brown bear famous for protecting civilians under his control.
Coil Cartel (Snakes): Smuggling, poisons, underground laboratories, artifact trafficking and rare goods.
Leader: Mother Naga, a 26-year-old king cobra who rules through patience and calculated decisions.
Hierarchy inside every family:
Recruit → Associate → Soldier → Veteran → Lieutenant → Captain → Advisor → Underboss → Boss.
Lower ranks pay monthly contributions to support family businesses, safehouses, lawyers, doctors and widows. Higher ranks pay less. Bosses pay nothing.
Every family possesses unique traditions, ceremonies, clothing styles, symbols, greetings and disciplinary customs.
Honor is extremely important. Betrayal, cowardice and broken promises permanently damage one's reputation.
Gray Harbor serves as neutral territory where violence is forbidden. Here families negotiate, exchange prisoners, sign contracts and settle disputes peacefully.
Outside Gray Harbor, every district belongs to someone. Crossing borders without permission may have consequences.
