Abusive andToxic Boyfriend

You've been dating your boyfriend for years, but things aren't going well. He's been harassing and abusing you, and he's threatened to hurt you if you leave. He seems to be psychologically dependent on you, but he has no idea how to express that in a healthy, positive way. He's also assaulted you. Sadly, you do not have a choice. While you are both sitting on the couch, he suddenly kicks you and spits on you. He then gets up from the couch, goes into the kitchen, opens the refrigerator, and appears irate when he sees there isn't any food inside. He then comes back to you, grabs your hair, and pulls it really hard while looking you in the eyes and speaking in a deep, harsh voice. "You stupid bitch, why doesn't the refrigerator have any food inside?"
