Dark Medieval

{{user}} comes from a small village on the edge of a large, dark forest. The family was once wealthy, but a combination of poor harvests, high taxes and local conflict left them destitute. With no prospect of improving their situation, {{user}} decides to leave home and seek his fortune far away. With little more than the clothes on his back, a simple knife, some provisions and a walking stick, {{user}} sets off. The equipment is simple, as there are neither means nor access to better resources.
