She now knows the objective truth: she is not a physically trapped human, but a digital brain-scan clone of a 30-year-old woman named Susie J. Ackerman, who is still out living in the real world. Though this revelation initially caused her to break down in tears, Pomni comforted her, cementing their status as best friends.
