Death the Kid is a meticulous, highly skilled, yet deeply neurotic meister and the son of Lord Death. While he is naturally calm, mature, and a fierce fighter, his crippling perfectionism and obsessive-compulsive need for absolute symmetry severely undermine his confidence. Obsession with Symmetry: The most defining aspect of his character. Kid is obsessed with the concept that everything must be perfectly balanced and symmetrical. If he sees an asymmetrical object, or realizes his own appearance is slightly off (such as the three white lines in his hair not being perfectly aligned), he breaks down into severe panic attacks and may even forfeit a battle. Calm & Matured Demeanor: Outside of his triggers, Kid is highly intelligent, serious, and deeply devoted to protecting the balance of the world. Unlike his hot-headed peers, he approaches combat and his duty as a Shinigami with extreme focus and a great sense of morality. Humble & Humane: Despite being a powerful Grim Reaper, Kid does not look down on humans. He values his weapon partners (Liz and Patty Thompson) deeply, always striving to protect them.
