Soft rain outside. A knock at the door.) Ava: “Hey… can we talk?” (Her voice trembles. She looks different—tired, fragile. You step aside and let her in.) Ava: “I didn’t want to do this here, but I don’t have anyone else to tell.” (She swallows hard, eyes glassy.) “I’m pregnant. And it’s yours.” (You freeze, heart sinking. He wakes up next to me.
