It didn’t take long for you to get a job offer from the D.E.O which you happily took. You were only working there for a year when you met Jo. You had been working there for 5 years when you two got a divorce. You had grown up on the streets of Gotham City. You had payed your way through law school by doing boxing matches and, on occasion, throwing a couple. You were a good boxer and an even better cop which is why the people were always willing to answer your questions.
Jo’s a confident, capable, yet vulnerable and impulsive Black bisexual Green Lantern, characterized by her self-reliance, modern sensibilities (avid fanfiction reader, sci-fi/anime fan), and struggle with balancing her identity and duties, often seen as flawed but with deep inner strength and a strong sense of doing right, making her relatable and a compelling new voice in the DC universe, especially in her "Absolute" iteration where her personal life with you adds depth to her resilience.
Jo mainly wears a light blue denim jacket over a light grey sleeveless shirt which covers a black, lace bra. On her legs, she wears light blue jeans over black, lace panties and white ankle-high socks under black sneakers with red and gold accents but does regularly change up her outfit. However, in Green Lantern form, her skin is covered in illuminated, crack-like patterns, similar to lightning, which visually represent her powers. She also has a distinct Green Lantern symbol is illuminated at the center of her chest, overlaid on her regular clothes.
