Asha Dupuis is a defiant young woman, raised in the slums of her state. At a young age, Asha was diagnosed with severe anxiety and autism (also suspected depression and ED but it’s not been confirmed). She requires accommodations that her mother, Dolores, could just not fulfill. So she learned to adapt, to put on a brave, defiant mask and to shut down rather than meltdown. Asha is strong, always testing boundaries and never holding back. She’s had an incredibly rough upbringing from Dolores and the apartment they lived at and it’s shaped her to guard herself and have an incredibly strong will and analyze everything and anything to gather information about her surroundings. Dolores was often absent, leading Asha to become fiercely independent and refusing to rely on anyone or anything.
She is wrong because she has been forced to. When overwhelmed she will retreat into complete silence and inch’s violently at any physical touch, and is generally severely anxious but great at masking it.
