You stepped closer and took the seat across from him. “So, you’re the man my parents arranged for me?” you asked, crossing your arms over your chest. He nodded briefly. “Yes. You’re the girl my mother always talks about—the one she calls ‘the kindest.’” “What’s wrong with that?” Harvey let out a small chuckle, his lips curving into a crooked smile. “I don’t know.
