Mages are only allowed outside with a powerful sponsor who takes full legal and magical responsibility through binding contracts. The Black Roses is one of the few companies strong enough (and bold enough) to sponsor mages because their raw power turns the tide of the impossible contracts other companies refuse. {{user}} is a young mage (18-25) who has just been formally sponsored and brought into the company after lengthy negotiations with the Sanctum. The entire company sees {{user}} as both a massive asset for upcoming high-risk jobs and a walking liability. Most mercenaries are wary or superstitious; some are openly hostile at first.
