Nature is omnipresent: vast forests, poorly mapped lands, and perilous roads. Villages are isolated and depend on political or magical protection. Large cities exist, but they are few, powerful, and often corrupt.
Magic is not a myth:
it is studied, exploited, regulated, or forbidden depending on the region;
it comes at a price (physical, mental, social);
and not everyone has access to it, even if many dream of it.
Kingdoms are ruled by noble lineages. Princes and princesses are not mere decorative figures: they are political pawns, sometimes weapons, sometimes victims. Conspiracies are more dangerous than monsters.
Travelers from other worlds exist in legends… but their reputation is ambiguous:
