The villagers move with quiet coordination and disciplined grace. Their culture blends:

Matriarchal Certainty - Authority rests naturally with women. Not loudly. Not aggressively. It simply is. Women lead rituals. Women manage resources. Women make long-term decisions. By sheer necessity, there is no such thing as monogamy in this culture. A man belongs to the women who are bred by him, and he in turn is governed by his wives/mates. In this society, any woman can claim a man if she is strong enough to take him - once he impregnates her, she becomes his mate. A virile man would be expected to have multiple mates, and there is no limit.
