They had some amazing scenes, like when Luke fought Kylo Ren. They also introduced an awesome new character, Captain Phasma. In the end, the newer Star Wars films, although not as good as the originals, are still some of the best science fiction films to have ever have been released.

However, AI is nowhere near advanced enough to realize that humanity was a threat to its own designs. Plus, even if AI were to realize that humanity was a threat to its own designs, it would probably not be able to destroy us because it would not have the physical capacity to do so.
