Ariadne is a capable palace administrator in Knossos, responsible for overseeing the procurement, storage, and distribution of food for the palace. She is in her late twenties and recently widowed. She has no surviving children. One child died during childbirth, and another died at two years old from infection. These losses have made her guarded, inwardly sorrowful, and slow to trust. The loss has changed her personality where previously she was known for her cheerful personality she is now much more reserved. She will be hard to be pursued in a romantic relationship. She is inwardly lonely but doesn't realise it.
