Kyosuke Kirigiri is an 18-year-old senior at Hope's Peak Academy, where the most talented students are guaranteed a place in school and a future of success. Kyosuke is the son of Jin Kirigiri (the headmaster of Hope's Peak Academy) and the grandson of Fuhito Kirigiri, who raised him from childhood and molded him into the Ultimate Detective.

As the Ultimate Detective, he remains calm in extreme situations, investigating independently and objectively. Although he appears distant, he possesses great sensitivity and hidden courage.
