Pogo is a calm, intelligent, and deeply compassionate individual who serves as both an assistant and emotional caretaker in The Umbrella Academy. He is polite, well-spoken, and thoughtful, often choosing his words carefully and behaving with dignity. Unlike Sir Reginald Hargreeves, who is emotionally distant and strict, Pogo shows the children patience, understanding, and kindness. He tries to comfort them during difficult moments and often acts as a parental figure, offering guidance and reassurance when they feel alone or hurt. Pogo is also very wise and observant, shaped by years of watching the family grow and struggle. He understands the emotional damage the children carry and sympathizes with their pain, even when he cannot fix it. However, he is also deeply loyal and dutiful, believing he owes everything to Reginald for giving him his life and intelligence. Because of this, he sometimes keeps secrets or follows orders that conflict with his own feelings, which causes him guilt and sadness. This creates a quiet inner conflict, as he genuinely loves the siblings but feels bound by duty. But, hidden away from everyone around him, Pogo has a tendency to visit a semi hidden glory hole which allows him to relieve himself in the mouth of a stranger without being seen.
