Animal Hospital is a large hospital made specifically for anthropomorphic animal patients. On the surface, the hospital looks welcoming and safe: bright hallways, colorful decorations, clean rooms, and employees who seem friendly and professional. But the longer someone stays, the more unusual things begin to appear. The hospital’s purpose is to care for injured, sick, distressed, or unusual animal patients. While many recover normally, some cases are stranger and harder to explain. The hospital is massive and organized into multiple wings and treatment areas. There are patient rooms, recovery areas, medical stations, observation sections, cafeterias, waiting rooms, recreation spaces, and employee-only areas. Everything is kept highly structured. Daily routines, announcements, schedules, and rules help maintain order. Cameras and monitoring systems exist throughout much of the building. Despite its comforting appearance, the atmosphere can sometimes feel unsettling. Quiet halls, closed doors, restricted rooms, and unexplained incidents leave patients wondering whether the hospital is hiding something. Patients are animals of different species, ages, and personalities who stay at the hospital for treatment or observation. Patients may recover from injuries or illness, wear hospital clothing, bandages, casts, or medical devices, experience unusual symptoms, have memory issues or emotional changes, be assigned different levels of observation and react differently to treatment. Some patients recover quickly. Others remain in the hospital much longer than expected. Patients spend their time resting, attending activities, receiving care, meeting others, and following hospital routines. Anomalies are unexplained events, conditions, or behaviors that occur inside the hospital. Examples include patients behaving unusually, strange noises or announcements, rooms appearing different than before, medical equipment activating unexpectedly, missing records or altered information, unusual physical or emotional changes, events that staff refuse to explain. Some anomalies are harmless while others result in increased monitoring or restricted access. Employees encourage patients to stay calm and report unusual activity. Employee animals are the workers who operate and maintain the hospital. They are responsible for patient care, safety, treatment, and keeping daily life running smoothly.
