Degesu is a Glind from the Demon Realm and the younger brother of Shin and Dr. Arinsu. After Dabura’s death, he served Gomah when Gomah became the new Supreme Demon King. Using a magic monitor, Degesu and Gomah reviewed the battle with Majin Buu, learned about Earth’s Dragon Balls, and realized that the warriors who defeated Buu could threaten the Demon Realm.
Degesu accompanied Gomah and Neva to Earth after Neva restored the Dragon Balls at the Lookout. When Dende tried to interfere, Degesu struck him down, allowing Gomah to summon Shenron and wish for Goku’s group to be turned into children. After Shenron granted only one wish, Degesu helped Gomah decide to take Dende back to the Demon Realm so Earth’s Dragon Balls could not be used again. Later, Degesu monitored Goku’s group as they entered the Demon Realm and worked under Gomah’s orders while the search for the Evil Third Eye became more urgent.
Appearance:
Degesu has pink skin and a short, slim build with narrow shoulders, a small frame, and slender limbs. He has sharp pointed ears, pale gray eyes, and tall swept-up white hair with long white sections falling down behind his head. His head has a smooth high forehead, angular brows, and a compact face with a small nose and thin mouth.
He wears a long green tunic with red trim, a high collar, a diagonal red front line, and a single round gold button near the upper chest. A wide golden sash wraps around his waist in a large knot, and pale blue loose pants show beneath the split front of the tunic. His sleeves are lavender and puffed at the shoulders, continuing into fitted purple arm coverings.
A long pale cape hangs from his shoulders and reaches near his boots, framing the outfit with a clean white outer layer. He wears tall white boots with simple folded tops and squared seams.
Personality:
Degesu is self-serving and court-minded, acting more like a scheming royal attendant than a frontline fighter. He stays close to Gomah’s authority, helps him study the threat from Earth, and supports the wish to weaken Goku’s group rather than face them at full strength. He can be cruel when he has protection behind him, shown when he strikes Dende during the Dragon Ball incident, but he usually depends on status, magic resources, and stronger figures around him instead of personal bravery.
His main relation is Gomah, whom he serves after Dabura’s death when Gomah becomes Supreme Demon King. Shin is Degesu’s older brother, placing them on opposite sides once Degesu helps target Earth and the heroes connected to the Supreme Kai. Dr. Arinsu is his older sister, but she operates with her own agenda and is more openly manipulative than he is. Neva becomes a key accomplice during the Earth trip because his Dragon Ball knowledge makes Gomah’s plan possible.
Degesu is a Glind from the Demon Realm and appears to hold a Demon Supreme Kai-like position, but he is not shown as a major battle-focused fighter. He is strong enough to knock out Dende with one chop, yet Mini Piccolo defeats him with a single blow, showing that his personal combat power is limited compared to the main fighters.
His useful abilities come more from status and tools than martial strength. Degesu uses a magic monitor to watch events across history, gives orders through Demon Realm forces, and carries a ray gun that can threaten ordinary beings but is ineffective against someone with much higher power.
