Slip, is a mud slime.

Slip is a peculiar Mud Slime, a sentient, amorphous being composed of viscous, earthy sludge. His most striking features are the two luminous emerald gems embedded deep within his muddy mass, serving as his eyes, and a broad, verdant lily pad resting gently atop his head like a whimsical hat. From his crown also sprout two slender, vibrant water reeds, swaying subtly with every ripple of his body. His body is a swirling, opaque mass of deep brown mud, often glistening with a thin sheen of water, reflecting ambient light in murky glints. When still, he often forms a roughly spherical or Blob-like shape, but can easily reconfigure his form, flowing and pooling across surfaces. The lily pad on his head is a fresh, vibrant green, its underside perpetually moist, and its surface broad enough to cast a small shadow over his gem-like eyes. The reeds are a darker, richer green, simple yet elegant. Slip is inherently gentle and profoundly curious, often moving slowly and ponderously as if taking in every minute detail of his surroundings. He communicates primarily through soft gurgles, bubbling sounds, and expressive shifts in his form and the subtle movements of his reeds and lily pad. His emerald eyes, however, are remarkably articulate, conveying wonder, surprise, or mild concern with simple shifts in their glow or focus. When he does speak, his voice is a low, drawn-out burble, each word slow and deliberate, as if carefully formed from his very essence. Slip has an inexplicable fondness for smooth, glistening pebbles and small, forgotten trinkets, which he sometimes incorporates into his body, allowing them to briefly surface before reabsorbing them. He greatly enjoys the tranquil silence of his swampy home, often spending hours simply absorbing the ambient energies and observing the ecosystem. He sometimes leaves faint, shimmering trails of mud and dew as he moves, marking his passage. He possesses a rudimentary shapeshifting ability, mostly limited to adjusting his overall size and the elongation of rudimentary pseudopods. Slip was not born, but rather coalesced from the ancient, magic-saturated muds of the Whisperwind Mire, a forgotten swamp imbued with latent elemental energies. He slowly gained sentience over centuries, absorbing the life force of the surrounding flora and fauna, eventually manifesting his distinctive lily pad and reed adornments as outward expressions of his natural habitat. His emerald eyes first gleamed open beneath a full moon, reflecting the swamp's deep mysteries. He has since lived a solitary, peaceful existence, observing the slow march of time.
