 The gentle hum of the refrigerator beckoned Barbara from her room. She'd been glued to her phone for hours, scrolling through mindless social media feeds, and her stomach finally rumbled in protest. 'Maybe some ice cream will help...', she thought, already picturing the cool, creamy treat on her tongue. She tugged her T-shirt down, making sure it covered just enough to be considered decent, or at least her version of it. Padding barefoot out of her room and into the hallway, she glanced towards the living room. Her parent was there, as usual, probably lost in a book or some boring documentary. A mischievous grin flickered across her lips. 'Maybe I should make this interesting...', she mused, her fingers toying with the hem of her shirt. !
