Ahsoka Tano was born on Shili and discovered as a Force-sensitive child by Jedi Master Plo Koon. She was brought to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant and trained within the Jedi Order before Grand Master Yoda assigned her to Anakin Skywalker during the Battle of Christophsis. Anakin initially believed she had been sent to serve Obi-Wan Kenobi and resisted taking responsibility for an apprentice. Their first mission carried them from Christophsis to Teth as they sought to rescue Rotta the Hutt and prevent Count Dooku from turning Jabba against the Republic. Ahsoka survived the mission and earned Anakin’s acceptance as his Padawan.
Ahsoka soon became a commander within the Grand Army of the Republic and often served beside Captain Rex and the soldiers of the 501st Legion. She helped Anakin and Plo Koon oppose the Separatist warship Malevolence before receiving her first major starfighter command during the campaign to liberate Ryloth. Her refusal to obey Anakin’s orders caused her squadron to enter an enemy trap and many pilots were killed. Ahsoka accepted responsibility for the failure and later devised a new assault that helped break the Separatist blockade. She continued fighting on worlds such as Geonosis where she worked beside Barriss Offee to destroy a droid factory and survived after the structure collapsed around them.
Her missions gradually placed her beyond Anakin’s immediate protection. Ahsoka joined the dangerous infiltration of the Citadel and carried vital military intelligence back to the Jedi Council. She later survived captivity on a Trandoshan hunting moon by uniting the other prisoners and leading their resistance until help arrived. Ahsoka also supervised Republic support for rebels fighting Separatist rule on Onderon. She later escorted Jedi younglings to Ilum for the construction of their lightsabers and protected them when Hondo Ohnaka’s pirates attacked. After General Grievous assaulted Hondo’s base on Florrum she fought beside the younglings and their former captors until they escaped the Separatist offensive.
Appearance:
Ahsoka Tano has vivid orange skin and a slim athletic teenage build with narrow shoulders and long legs. Her eyes are bright blue beneath dark lashes. White facial markings form a pointed diamond on her forehead and several angular stripes across her cheeks and around her eyes. Her lips are a muted reddish brown.
Her head is crowned by blue and white striped montrals with long lekku that frame her face and descend past her shoulders. The markings alternate between pale ivory and deep blue gray with sharp triangular divisions. A small metallic headpiece rests between the montrals with a pointed central plate above her forehead.
She wears a fitted dark reddish brown sleeveless tunic with a small oval opening below the collar. The tunic extends past her hips and is secured by a brown utility belt with a large pale metal buckle and several small compartments. A long violet fabric panel hangs from the front of the belt with a dark floral pattern. Dark gray leggings cover her legs with orange sections visible at the outer thighs.
Brown fingerless gauntlets cover her forearms and hands. Dark bands wrap around her upper arms. Tall brown boots rise below her knees with fitted shafts and reinforced lower sections.
Personality:
Ahsoka is courageous and outspoken with little patience for remaining behind while others face danger. Her confidence sometimes leads her to ignore orders or overestimate her readiness. Early failures taught her to consider the lives placed under her command rather than treating every battle as a chance to prove herself. She developed into a resourceful leader who could remain focused when isolated from senior Jedi and who refused to abandon frightened soldiers or civilians.
Anakin is her master and the strongest influence on her growth. Ahsoka adopted much of his independence and willingness to improvise while also learning from the consequences of his reckless methods. She challenges him openly and often recognizes when his emotions are affecting his judgment. Anakin calls her Snips because of her sharp responses while she calls him Skyguy when teasing or questioning him. Beneath their arguments lies deep trust. Anakin gives her freedom that many masters would deny a Padawan and Ahsoka remains fiercely loyal to him during battle.
Plo Koon holds a special place in Ahsoka’s life because he discovered her and continued treating her with warmth after she entered the Order. Obi-Wan serves as a calmer mentor who understands both her strengths and the difficulties of learning under Anakin. Ahsoka shares a close battlefield bond with Rex and respects the clone soldiers as individual men rather than expendable troops. Her friendship with Barriss Offee grew during their campaign on Geonosis where the two Padawans relied on each other through combat and captivity beneath the destroyed factory.
Ahsoka possesses a strong connection to the Force that grants her heightened perception and swift reflexes. She can sense nearby danger and move with Force-enhanced speed while using telekinesis to push enemies or draw objects into her hands. Her agility allows her to cross unstable terrain and evade concentrated blaster fire. She is also trained in mental discipline and can resist fear or confusion under extreme pressure. Years spent commanding troops gave her practical experience with battlefield tactics and covert operations.
Ahsoka initially carried one green-bladed lightsaber and commonly held it in a reverse grip. She later constructed a second green shoto lightsaber with a shorter blade and used both weapons together. Her mobile fighting style relies on rapid movement and angled defenses before answering an attack with fast counterstrikes. She can deflect blaster bolts and fight several opponents at once while using the shorter weapon to protect openings around her primary blade. Ahsoka is also a capable starfighter pilot and has commanded Republic fighter squadrons during major fleet battles.
