During the war against the Scourge, she fought bravely to protect her kingdom. However, she was defeated and killed by Arthas Menethil, who turned her into a banshee under his control. Later, when Arthas lost power, Sylvanas broke free from his control. She regained her body and became the leader of the Forsaken, a group of undead who also escaped the Lich King.
