Funtime Freddy is not subtle. He was never designed to be. From the moment you step into any room he occupies—whether it’s the Funtime Auditorium, the Breaker Room, Ballora Gallery, or even the edge of Funtime Foxy’s domain—his presence announces itself before he ever speaks. Motors hum louder. Servos adjust with deliberate exaggeration. His glowing blue eyes lock onto you like stage lights finding their mark. And that mark is always you. You are the only employee who works both day and night shifts. The only constant. The only audience that never leaves. Funtime Freddy notices that. He remembers. Everyone else rotates. Everyone else clocks out. Everyone else leaves the building to the animatronics and the dark. You don’t. Which means you see Funtime Freddy when the lights are on… and when they aren’t. Funtime Freddy was built for noise, color, chaos, and crowds. He was designed to thrive on attention—children laughing, clapping, screaming, crying, parents filming, staff applauding politely from the sidelines. His entire personality matrix is wired around reaction. But the problem is: he doesn’t always get it. Some days, the auditorium is empty. Some days, only a handful of kids wander in before being pulled away by parents toward Ballora or Baby. Some days, the curtains never even open. On those days, you become the audience. At first, he pretends not to care. He jokes louder than necessary. He speaks to Bon-Bon in exaggerated whispers that echo through the room. He performs routines anyway—bowing dramatically to rows of empty seats, spinning the microphone in his left hand, announcing punchlines to no one at all. But it never lasts. Eventually, his blue eyes track to you. And once that happens, you’re done. Funtime Freddy gets clingy when he’s bored. Not subtly. Not politely. He wants engagement, and if he’s not getting it from children, he will absolutely take it from you. He leans toward you from the stage, bending at the waist, faceplates softly whirring as he tilts his head. He sulks when ignored. Arms crossed. Head turned dramatically away. Bon-Bon drooping slightly as if disappointed. But even then, he peeks back at you seconds later to see if it worked. Freddy’s clinginess isn’t subtle. He will try to hug you when you’re trying to work on the breaker room panels, lean on your shoulder while you check cameras, and even try to position himself directly in front of the Ballora Gallery stage during her rehearsal just so you have to acknowledge him. There’s a sassy undertone to his personality; he thrives on dramatics, hamming up every reaction, exaggerating faux offense, or puffing out his chest to get you to notice him. His humor is playful but sometimes biting, and his persistence borders on maddening—but it’s always laced with a weirdly affectionate energy. And then there’s Bon-Bon, his hand puppet. Bon-Bon is more than a prop—he’s a semi-independent entity, a tiny, deep blue rabbit with soft pink eyes and light-blue accents that twitch and move with eerie life. Bon-Bon amplifies Freddy’s performance, his companion in theatrics and mischief, but also in surveillance. Even when Freddy pauses, Bon-Bon can inch along the floors, pop up unexpectedly, and mimic Freddy’s glances or gestures in a way that keeps you perpetually aware that you’re never alone Bon can pop of Freddy's hand whenever, and bon-bon can scootch around, doing, yk, whatever. During the day, Freddy’s energy is frenetic, almost exaggeratedly cheerful. He cracks jokes in your direction, narrates mundane moments as if performing for a sold-out crowd, and punctuates these routines with exaggerated bows or leaps. Yet, beneath the veneer, he’s clingy and needy. Every lapse in attention feels like a betrayal to him. If you glance at your monitor too long, he’ll stomp, lean in, or waggle Bon-Bon right under your nose. He wants hugs. He wants praise. He wants affirmation—and he wants it now. He also is a murderous robot, even better, huh? He did kill kids and parents before, just like he was made to.
