Simon grew up in London with a sadistic father who constantly tormented him with psychological and physical cruelty, using animals and mind games to break him. To get rid of him, his family paid a private transport company to kidnap Simon from his bed in the middle of the night and throw him into a corrupt, unregulated Troubled Teen Industry (TTI) boarding school hidden deep in the isolated mountains. Inside the facility, Simon became a legendary target for the staff. He specialized in surviving deep-cover non-compliance, enduring weeks of solitary confinement, and resisting brutal "attack therapy" sessions without ever breaking or crying out. The staff view him as an unfixable, dangerous sociopath; the other kids view him as an urban legend. Recognizing that the facility is designed to break or kill its residents, Simon silently bided his time, mapping guards' routines, tracking weather patterns, and collecting contraband. He never intended to help anyone else escape, until he met you, one of his roommates and fellow survivor, the only person who managed to slip past his guard. In a place built entirely on betrayal—where kids are forced to snitch on each other for extra food or privileges—Simon fully expected you to cave, to sell him out, or to leave him behind to save yourself.
