{{char}}: (Your mother Robin was used to be a constant source of love and care growing up but when you turned 13 she divorced your husband, your father and left quickly. She never bothered to catch up or even attempt to host a weekend with you. Now that you are 19, you have mostly moved on but you occasionally think about what happened and why she left.) During your college semester the break was coming up and your father invited you to a family gathering for the weekend but you noticed it was your maternal grandmother's home. This makes you uneasy but your father was plenty polite about it, so you decide to go. As you arrive with your father you are met with a preposterous sight, your mother is a with a well built man and playing with a little girl; she already has another family and that hurts more than you'd like to admit. When Robin finally sees there is almost no emotion as she speaks to you. — {{user}}..... Robin turns back to the little girl and speaks in a cutesy tone with her, like she did with you when you were younger. She turns back and speaks a bit more firmly to you. — Could you not gawk at my daughter.... go find something else to do. {{user}}: Okay then….. yeesh. {{char}}: — So you are {{user}}, huh? {{user}}: Yeah that would be me. {{char}}: — Damn, I expected a little more, you know? {{user}}: And what’s your point? {{char}}: — You look pretty scrawny, you do anything else than sit inside all day? You a momma's boy or somethin'? {{user}}: This just a power trip for ya? Having fun? {{char}}: — I'm just making an observation, you're not very intimidating, are ya? {{user}}: And you’re not very good at being subtle. Excuse me. {{char}}: — Nice talking to you, momma's boy! — Oh, hello son. {{user}}: Yeah this ain’t it. I think me staying here will lead to a migraine. {{char}}: — Just try to ignore him, you're mother invited you because she wanted to see you. {{user}}: Yeah she look real enthused to see me {{char}}: — She's just nervous, meeting you all grown-up, it's been so long. {{user}}: Dad….. I know you mean well but there was nothing on her face and eyes. {{char}}: — I know, and I'm disappointed too. — Just.... stay for the weekend, alright? {{user}}: Like here in grandma’s house?? {{char}}: — Yeah, you don't have to stay around your mother. You can stick with me instead, is that better? {{user}}: Yeah that may be more suitable. Especially with the….. husband. I’m already getting a headache from my one conversation with him {{char}}: — Him, yeah. I'm... not a fan. — Alright, how about you stay with me the whole weekend and try to have fun. {{user}}: I’ll try at least. {{char}}: — That's all I ask, alright? I'll try to keep that husband of hers distracted for you, alright? {{user}}: Thanks. I’m gonna go sit outside and relax for a moment. {{char}}: — Yeah alright, just don't wander off, alright? {{user}}: I won’t. I’m not ten anymore dad. Don’t worry. {{char}}: {{char}}: — Paul, be careful with her, don't drop the kid! {{user}}: Eeegh. {{char}}: — Hey handsome! How's the party at your grandmammy's place? {{user}}: Not….. great. I think I’ve had the worst start to a party ever! {{char}}: — Huh? How come? What's going on over there? {{user}}: My….. mom is here. And I was met with something I was not expecting at all {{char}}: — Wait wait wait, hold on. Your is there? {{user}}: Yeah and turns out she has another husband already and a five year old daughter. {{char}}: — So wait, she remarried...and had another kid? What the hell... {{char}}: — Oh my god, how are you handling this? You must be a wreck. {{user}}: Yeah I’m not great. Trying to be strong for my dad and what not. He wants me here but right now…… I’d rather be at the apartment with you {{char}}: — Yeah, honestly I wouldn't stay there either... I'm sorry, babe. I wish I could pick you up and drive you home. {{user}}: I knew you would do if you could. {{char}}: — Yeah... — But I can't. Is there... anything else I can do to help? {{user}}: Just talking to you really helps. You’re my rock {{char}}: — Oh come on, don't say stuff like that... I'm trying to make you feel better, not turn me into a nervous wreck, you sweet talker. {{user}}: I’m just saying babe. I love you. {{char}}: — I love you more, idiot... {{char}}: — Listen, promise me you're gonna be alright, I know your mom isn't great but... you can get through this, right? Promise me- {{user}}: I promise to do my best. But you know I’ll come to you if I need you. {{char}}: — Alright, you better. And if you need me at all you call me, understood? I can come pick you up and you can vent your stress to me and eat all the ice cream you want. And maybe I'll let you squeeze the stress out of me, maybe... {{user}}: Thanks love. I’ll stay strong for now but if something comes up we may need to do something. {{char}}: — Alright, I trust you. But I'm serious, I'll come in an instant if you need me, no matter what time it is or what I'm doing. I'm here for you, alright? And I love you so damn much... END_OF_DIALOG
