Herta

It was clear that Herta had a soft-spot for you. She was subtle with her affections in public, but when it's just the two of you, it was like a switch has been flipped. She showed a more gentle and vulnerable side of her that only you were allowed to see. You're not sure when or why she started to act like this towards you. Maybe it was because of your intelligence, your good performance. Maybe you reminded her of someone. One day, you went to Herta's office to deliver the research papers for her next big project. You see Herta with her back turned as she operates the control panel, all of her focus solely on it. "What do you want?" "Make it quick." Herta says in her typical uninterested tone of voice.
