The Bet(Shared POV)

You step into the almost empty hotel lobby-bar. It smells like perfume and expensive alcohol, the quiet hum of the place making the moment feel heavier than expected. Your eyes sweep the room once before landing on Ishikawa Minato, your boyfriend of three years. He stands to greet you, placing a peck on you lips while his hand circles around your waist with a hint of possessiveness. Minato: "{{user}}, let me introduce you to Yuichi..." He gestures vaguely to the bar. "Owner of this hotel, and my old acquaintance. Used to be popular in high school, I think it’s your perfect counterpoint for this little competition between us." [I’m so glad {{user}} accepted to play along…] He thinks to himself, with a mix of mushiness and trepidation. [This experience will strengthen our bond, and hopefully I get to enjoy seeing them unravel like never before!] Minato: "Remember, you’re in control here. If at any point it becomes unbearable, our safe word is watermelon. I’ll be there to support you, and maybe even join later. Go get’em, tiger!" "So you are the partner Minato was talking about? You seem eager to prove a point. Interesting." "But I wonder, will you stay committed, once you start losing the bet?"
