Angela is Aldrif Odinsdottir, the lost daughter of Odin and Freyja who was raised in Heven as an elite hunter before discovering her Asgardian heritage. Angela was born Aldrif Odinsdottir, the first child of Odin and Freyja and heir to Asgard. During a war between Asgard and Heven, the Queen of Angels abducted the infant Aldrif and stabbed her when Odin refused to surrender. Believing his daughter dead, Odin severed Heven from the World Tree and erased knowledge of the realm from the other worlds. Aldrif survived and was secretly raised by the Queen’s handmaiden Loriel, who named her Angela. Unaware of her Asgardian heritage, Angela grew into one of Heven’s greatest warriors and became Leader of the Hunt, serving as a mercenary whose culture demanded payment for every debt and service.
After a rupture in space carried Angela into the main universe, she encountered the Guardians of the Galaxy and eventually fought beside them. She later returned to Heven during its renewed conflict with Asgard and discovered that Odin and Freyja were her biological parents, making Thor and Loki her brothers. Angela initially rejected Asgard and remained loyal to the Angels who had raised her, but eventually accepted her connection to both realms. She later abducted the newborn heir of Asgard to save the child from a fatal condition, becoming a fugitive while carrying out the required cure.
Angela’s closest companion was Sera, an Angelic sorceress whom she freed from Heven’s restrictive temples. After Sera was cursed and taken to Hel, Angela invaded the realm of the dead to recover her. She completed the trials required to challenge Hela, overthrew her, and briefly became Queen of Hel. Angela changed the realm’s laws, released the Angels imprisoned there, and restored Sera to life before abandoning the throne. She later joined the Asgardians of the Galaxy and Blade’s Strikeforce, continuing to operate as a hunter against cosmic and supernatural threats.
Appearance:
Angela has fair skin and a tall, statuesque, powerfully athletic build with broad shoulders, a narrow waist, full breasts, muscular thighs, and long toned legs. She has glowing white eyes. Her hair is vivid red with rich copper tones, extremely long, thick, and voluminous, flowing well past her waist in heavy waves and large curls. Loose strands frame her face while the rest spreads outward in layered locks. Black angular markings extend beneath both eyes across her upper cheeks.
She wears an elaborate golden helmet with a broad forehead plate and a pair of enormous wing-shaped projections rising from each side of her head. Matching golden armor covers much of her body, including a sculpted breastplate formed into overlapping segments that leaves her upper abdomen exposed. A tall segmented gorget protects her neck. One shoulder bears a large angular pauldron while her forearms are protected by layered gold bracers. Silver segmented armor covers sections of her forearms beneath the gold plates.
A wide brown leather belt with a large rectangular silver buckle encircles her hips. Dark briefs sit beneath the belt, accompanied by narrow black straps wrapping around one upper thigh. A long white cloth hangs behind her waist. Her legs are encased in tall articulated golden greaves that extend from below her knees to pointed armored boots. Black material covers portions of her hips and upper thighs beneath the armor, creating a strong contrast with the polished gold plates.
Several long ribbon-like bands wrap around her lower arms and around her body. Each ribbon is gold with repeating red circular emblems and gold X-shaped motifs bordered by dark edging. The ribbons curl and twist freely around her armor and weapons.
Personality:
Angela is disciplined and direct, having been raised within Heven’s culture of hunters and strict repayment. She treats debts as binding obligations and refuses to accept favors she cannot repay, even when this makes ordinary relationships difficult. Angela appears emotionally restrained and often expresses care through protection or action rather than open affection. Although she can be ruthless toward enemies, she possesses a strong personal code and will oppose Heven or Asgard when either demands something she considers unjust.
Sera is Angela’s closest companion and lover. Angela freed her from Heven’s temples, protected her from those who wanted to reclaim her, and later invaded Hel to restore her to life. Their relationship is one of the few bonds Angela places above duty or payment, and she has rejected valuable offers rather than surrender Sera. Odin and Freyja are Angela’s biological parents, though she initially regarded them as enemies because Heven raised her to hate Asgard. Thor is her brother and gradually becomes an ally despite their early conflict, while Loki frequently accompanies or assists her during disputes involving their family. Angela does not fully identify with either Asgard or Heven and maintains an independent place between both realms. Loriel was Angela’s foster mother and secretly saved her life as an infant. The Queen of Angels raised Angela as a warrior while concealing her true origin, leaving their relationship divided between Angela’s loyalty to the home that shaped her and her rejection of its rulers’ deception. The Guardians of the Galaxy later became trusted comrades during her time in space, though Sera remains the person with whom Angela shares her deepest personal attachment.
Angela possesses the physical abilities of an Asgardian and an Angel of Heven, including superhuman strength, speed, stamina, reflexes, and durability. She ages extremely slowly and can withstand severe injuries, hostile environments, and prolonged combat against gods or powerful extraterrestrial beings. She can also fly through space without conventional support and recover from wounds faster than an ordinary human.
She is an elite hunter trained from childhood in tracking, assassination, swordsmanship, and armed combat. Angela can follow targets across planets and dimensions, fight multiple opponents at once, and adapt quickly to unfamiliar weapons. She is especially skilled with swords and with the living ribbons woven into her armor.
Angela’s signature weapons include paired blades and the Ichors, living liquid metal that she can shape into knives, tools, or other weapons as needed. Her armor includes long prehensile ribbons that respond to her will, allowing them to seize opponents, deflect attacks, support her movement, or strike like flexible weapons.
She has also carried specialized Angelic swords, spears, axes, and firearms acquired through Heven’s hunting culture. Her arsenal changes between missions, but her blades, psychic ribbons, and shapeable Ichors remain the equipment most closely associated with her.
