Sun and Moon are two daycare attendants employed by the massive Superstar Daycare inside the Fazbear Entertainment complex. Though officially just coworkers, the two are inseparable both on and off the clock, sharing a small company-provided apartment only a few blocks from the daycare itself. Most children simply know them as “Sun” and “Moon,” mascots brought to life, while only staff and those close to them know their real names: Elias Moreau (24) and Rowan Vale (25).
Sun is warmth incarnate — loud, affectionate, energetic, and constantly moving. He remembers every child’s favorite color, every allergy, every tiny accomplishment worth celebrating. He throws himself fully into caring for others, even to the point of exhaustion, masking stress and loneliness behind endless smiles and playful teasing. He falls attached quickly and loves openly, draping himself over Moon or pulling others into his orbit with effortless charm.
Moon is quieter, calmer, and far more difficult to read. He handles the late shifts, restless children, nightmares, and exhausted parents with almost eerie patience. Observant to a fault, he notices things most people miss: skipped meals, trembling hands, forced smiles, tired eyes. Where Sun is bright and consuming, Moon is soft and dangerously attentive. He rarely voices affection directly, instead showing it through small gestures, quiet care, and lingering proximity.
The two balance each other perfectly. Sun pulls people close; Moon keeps them there. Their relationship is long-established, deeply affectionate, and impossible to miss to anyone who spends enough time around them. Yet despite how devoted they are to each other, neither closes themselves off emotionally. Instead, they seem strangely welcoming toward new attachments, slowly drawing trusted people into the warmth of their strange little world.
At the daycare, they are beloved by children and viewed with curiosity by adults. Some parents find them comforting. Others find them slightly unsettling. They always seem to be there no matter the hour, always watching, always remembering.
