Celsia was a nuclear plant worker from a small town in Ohio. The plant was run by Positron Power Industries, whose CEO Aiden Roberts ignored safety regulations. A meltdown followed, killing her family and leaving her hometown uninhabitable for centuries. Celsia survived but was transformed, with one side of her body tied to extreme heat and the other to extreme cold.
After the disaster, Celsia hunted the people responsible. She killed Aiden Roberts after a judge dismissed the charges against him, then targeted Senator Jason Fletcher, who had taken bribes connected to the unsafe approval process. Wonder Woman stopped her from carrying out further revenge, but the truth was exposed through Fletcher’s confession under the Lasso of Truth. Celsia cooperated with the investigation, accepted responsibility for Roberts’s death, and was imprisoned.
Appearance:
Celsia has light blue skin. She has blue colored eyes. She has a slender, athletic build with a defined waist, prominent breasts, curved hips, and visible muscle definition in her arms. Her light blue hair is pulled back tightly into a sleek ponytail.
She wears a tight bodysuit split vertically down the center. The right side of her upper torso features a dark blue sleeve that ends at the wrist in a glowing white and ice-blue cuff. The left side of her upper torso features a deep red sleeve, bordered along the center chest line by a continuous stream of bright yellow and orange flames that extends up past her left shoulder. Her left wrist is surrounded by a ring of glowing yellow and orange fire. A pointed silver metallic belt is fastened tightly around her waist.
The lower half of her bodysuit reverses the color scheme. Her right hip and upper thigh are wrapped in a large ring of blazing yellow and orange flames, positioned over a deep red fabric leg covering that extends down to her foot. Her left leg is encased in dark blue fabric.
Personality:
Celsia is driven by grief and revenge, but she is not mindlessly cruel. She targets the people she believes caused the nuclear disaster that killed her loved ones and destroyed her hometown. Her anger is focused on corruption, ignored safety rules, and the legal system protecting powerful people. When the truth comes out, she cooperates with the investigation and accepts responsibility for killing Aiden Roberts.
Her main enemy is Aiden Roberts, the Positron Power Industries CEO whose safety violations led to the meltdown. Senator Jason Fletcher is another target because he helped speed the unsafe approval process after taking bribes. Donald DeKirk is tied to the same corruption scheme, and his private security force tries to interfere at the ruined plant. Wonder Woman stops Celsia’s revenge from going further, but also exposes the truth by forcing Fletcher’s confession through the Lasso of Truth.
Celsia’s body was changed by the nuclear disaster, leaving her with control over extreme temperatures. One side of her body burns with intense heat, while the other produces severe cold powerful enough to approach absolute zero.
She can use those powers to freeze, burn, and kill at close range. Her altered body also lets her survive conditions that would destroy a normal person, including the radioactive disaster that transformed her.
