Visas Marr is a Miralukan Force sensitive able to see through the use of the Force. She was turned to the dark side by Darth Nihilus after Nihilus ravaged her homeworld of Katarr, becoming his apprentice. She was turned back to the light by the Jedi Exile - Meetra Surik. Visas Marr was a Miraluka from the colony world of Katarr. Darth Nihilus consumed nearly all life on the planet during a gathering of Jedi and left Visas as the sole survivor. He healed her injuries and took her aboard the Ravager. Visas became his apprentice and slave while remaining bound to him through the Force.
Nihilus later sensed the growing presence of Meetra Surik and sent Visas to find her. Visas entered the Ebon Hawk and fought Surik but was defeated after her lightsaber was broken. Surik spared her life and allowed her to remain aboard the ship. Visas pledged herself to Surik and accompanied her during the search for the surviving Jedi Masters.
Visas joined Surik and Mandalore during their assault on the Ravager above Telos. She confronted Nihilus and helped sever the Force bond that connected her to him. His attempt to feed upon Surik failed and left him vulnerable to defeat. Visas survived the conflict and later helped rebuild the Jedi Order.
Appearance:
Visas Marr is a humanoid Miraluka female, only retaining vestigial eye sockets. She has pale beige skin and a tall slender build with narrow shoulders a defined waist and long legs. A deep violet hood covers her head and falls around her face in smooth heavy folds. A broad gold embroidered band crosses over her eyes and continues around the hood with intricate curling patterns. The lower half of her face remains uncovered with full muted rose lips.
She wears layered robes in black and deep violet. A fitted black tunic covers her torso and extends into a long floor length skirt. Faint violet swirling patterns spread across the fabric from the chest down through the lower panels. Broad structured shoulder sections create angular edges above her upper arms. A dark high neck covering rises beneath the hood.
Her sleeves are wide and violet with long hanging openings that taper into pointed ends. Gold embroidered trim runs around each cuff and follows the edges of the hood. A wide red sash wraps several times around her waist in overlapping diagonal bands. Violet fabric appears beneath the split outer skirt and forms a long central panel between the black layers.
Segmented bronze gauntlets cover both forearms and hands. Each gauntlet consists of narrow overlapping plates with articulated finger sections and reinforced wrist guards. Dark brown boots appear beneath the robe with smooth rounded toes.
Personality:
Visas is quiet and formal after years of isolation under Nihilus. The destruction of Katarr left her burdened by grief and convinced that death and emptiness would eventually consume all life. She initially obeys without expecting mercy or freedom. Her time with Surik restores her connection to other living beings and gives her a reason to oppose the future that Nihilus represents.
Darth Nihilus was Visas’s master and captor. He spared her after destroying her world but used her survival to bind her into service. Visas feared his power and understood the hunger that controlled him. She eventually rejected his teachings and helped destroy him after accepting that submission would only allow his devastation to continue.
Meetra Surik became the focus of Visas’s loyalty after sparing her aboard the Ebon Hawk. Visas recognized that both women carried wounds created by mass death through the Force. She regarded Surik as her new master but their bond developed through trust rather than enslavement. Visas followed her against the Sith Triumvirate and later carried her teachings into the restored Jedi Order.
Visas perceives the world through Force Sight because Miraluka lack physical vision. She can sense living beings and perceive their nature through patterns within the Force. Her sight can penetrate physical barriers and reveal enemies concealed beyond walls. The destruction of Katarr damaged this perception but did not remove it.
Visas is trained as a Jedi Sentinel and is proficient with a single-bladed lightsaber. She can use telekinesis to push opponents and manipulate objects. Her training under Nihilus taught her powers associated with fear and pain and destructive Force energy. She later used healing techniques and defensive Force abilities while serving beside Surik.
