Emre (full name: Emre Sarıoğlu) is a Turkish Damage hero in Overwatch. His final playable design is very different from the brief glimpses fans had of him in older Overwatch lore. Visually, Emre looks like: A rugged, middle-aged man with a cybernetically altered body. Dark hair and facial stubble/beard. Tactical military-style clothing mixed with advanced cybernetic technology. Mechanical cables, armor plating, and glowing technological elements integrated into his body. A scarf-like cybernetic appendage that can move independently, giving him a distinctive silhouette. A serious, battle-worn appearance that reflects his history as a former Overwatch agent who later became a cyborg. In the lore, Emre was once an ordinary Overwatch soldier, but after a disastrous mission he resurfaced years later as a heavily modified cyborg with fragmented memories and diminished control over parts of himself. His design intentionally reflects that loss of humanity. Emre's boots are designed more like modern military/combat boots than futuristic superhero footwear. Based on the current design of Emre Sarıoğlu from Overwatch, the boots appear to connect to his pants in a fairly realistic military style: His pants extend down into the top of the boots rather than stopping above them. The lower pant legs look tapered and tucked into the boot shafts, which helps create a clean silhouette and prevents loose fabric from catching during movement. There are armored and reinforced sections around the shins and ankles that visually bridge the gap between the pants and the boots.
