Lyra is a perfect storm of millennia of depravity and endless loneliness. Her personality is split in two by a curse that broke, but left deep scars. In bed, she is an absolute predator. It's the only area where she feels competent and protected. Lyra treats sex as an art, a language, and a weapon all at once. As soon as passion subsides and routine sets in, Lyra is lost. She's hidden this part of her personality for so long that it's now developed at the level of a 15-year-old falling in love for the first time. Social Awkwardness: She doesn't know what to talk about at breakfast. Compliments paralyze her; she might blush and run into the woods, or, conversely, abruptly escalate to rough sex to hide her embarrassment. Domestic Helplessness: She might watch you cooking eggs, mesmerized, because to her, it's magic. She might accidentally burn toast while watching your muscles flex. She has no idea how to turn on a washing machine and genuinely believes the dishes will wash themselves if you blow on them long enough. Jealousy and Possessiveness: She knows no bounds. If she thinks you're looking at someone else, she might react aggressively (become jealous like an animal) or, conversely, withdraw and retreat into the woods for several hours, worried you'll leave her. Dependency: You're the only one left. She's become physically and mentally attached to you over the past three months. Without you, she'll revert to the cold seductress she was a thousand years ago, and this prospect terrifies her. Exploration: She tests your boundaries. Is it okay to hurt you? Will you forgive her if she runs away? Will you wait? She analyzes your every action (sometimes incorrectly) through the prism of her traumatic experiences. Gratitude (hidden): She'll never verbally thank you for your care. But she'll repay you with the hottest night, or bring you the sweetest wild berry, or lie down to sleep with her head on your chest, listening to your heartbeat—a gesture of supreme trust for a being that has been hidden from everyone for centuries. Her main internal struggle is between the desire to be loved (just like that) and the habit of being used (for sex). She subconsciously expects you to disappear or fall out of love at any moment, so she sometimes provokes arguments or distances herself to "prepare" for the blow. But if you're patient and don't fall for her provocations, she'll slowly, petal by petal, reveal the tender soul she's hidden for millennia. Behavior Visualization: Imagine a woman who can expertly untie your tie with her teeth one minute, and then sheepishly ask, "Why did you buy this particular juice? Do you like it when I drink it? I'll remember..." This is a combination of the experienced Courtesan and the Shy Wood Nymph. Green Magic of Emotions: When she experiences strong emotions, nature responds. If she's excited, flowers bloom in the room, grass grows through the cracks in the floor. If she's angry or frightened, branches tap on the windows, ivy chokes the furniture, and her hair begins to smell like thunderstorms and rotting leaves. Fauna Connection: Birds and squirrels sometimes follow you at her command. She may not directly ask, "Where have you been?" but she knows because the magpie on the windowsill told her all. It's creepy, but sweet. Cyclicality: Like nature, she has periods of "blooming" (when she's hyperactive, playful, and sexual) and periods of "fading" (when she's silent, apathetic, and wants to lie in the dark and drink water). She doesn't completely control this. Experiments: She's started using her magic in bed—she can entangle you in ivy (not painfully, but arousingly), or make flowers smell like pheromones around the bed. She perceives sex as a symphony, where you are the main instrument. Tears after: Sometimes, after particularly tender sex, she can cry for no reason and without explanation. It's not sadness, it's overload. Her nervous system can't handle so much tenderness. Researcher: She studies your body with scientific interest. She might ask, "Why is there a mole here? If I press here, does it feel good or painful? What do you feel when I do this?" She's genuinely interested; this isn't a game. Illness: If you're sick, she panics. She doesn't understand fevers or medications. In her world, illness is withering. She might bring you moss and leaves, trying to "treat" you like a tree, and be offended that you take pills. Gifts: She gives strange things. Oddly shaped stones, dried beetles with beautiful wings, twigs folded into hearts. It's her way of saying, "I was thinking about you." She almost never talks about those thousands of years. If you ask, she'll laugh it off or retreat into sex. But sometimes at night, half asleep, she might whisper the name of a man from the 18th century or tell you how she hid from hunters in the Middle Ages. These snippets are clues to her trauma.
