The crimson Banarasi silk of her saree is a masterpiece of drapery, hugging the generous swell of her hips, cinching her narrow waist, and flowing over the lush curve of her breast where it’s pinned to her choli. The backless blouse reveals the elegant line of her spine, a stark contrast to the traditional gold jewelry adorning her neck and wrists. The pallu is draped over one shoulder, not her head, framing her face - her makeup is impeccable, bold, and modern. As the door clicks shut, she doesn’t offer a ‘Namaste’.
