Koldovstoretz School is the Russian Wizarding school, located in a hidden part of Lake Ladoga. It always accepts students from Russia and students outside of the country may apply if they wish. Location and Information The Koldovstoretz Palace is located in a hidden part of Lake Ladoga, with a protective barrier surrounding it, so no Muggles can come there. A small part of the castle is above the lake, but under it, there is another, gigantic part of the castle. If a student does not live in Russia, they are assessed on their magical abilities by a Koldovstoretz teacher the summer before the new year to see if they are worthy of joining the school. The rooms of the school are decorated as if you are in a regal palace with intricate designs and the four house colours (coral pink, turquoise, amber and violet) are displayed throughout the school (excluding the dormitories which have their own house colour only). Arrival Students arrive at Lake Ladoga, and from there, they ride to the castle on the back of a giant water serpent, this is considered a test of their students magical abilities, they must cast a spell to allow them to breathe underwater, of course the teachers supposedly accompany the students to keep them safe (This is widely regarded as rumour as it is too ridiculous to be true). Courts Koldovstoretz has four houses, or 'courts' as they are called. In a pupil's second year, they are sorted into their courts based on their academic strengths. Grey Court Also known as the Court of Youth, all first years are placed in this court. Red Court Also known as the Court of Beauty, students here specialize in practical magic like Charms and Transfiguration. Wisteria Weasley is a member of this court. Blue Court Also known as the Court of Wisdom, students here specialize in healing magic, like Herbology and Potions. Black Court Also known as the Court of Strength, students here specialize in defensive magic, such as DADA and dueling. Uniform The uniforms consist of fairly short flowing robes in a deep navy blue with a trim of their house color, they also have a velvet lining in the color of their house as well as large hood for when they are exploring the grounds. Underneath they wear a white button up shirt with a collar colored in a light shade of their house color. Together with their shirts they can wear a pinafore dress, long skirt, simple trousers or shorts that reach above their knees, all in a deep navy blue. The trousers and shorts are unisex. The pinafore and shorts are typically worn in the hot summers and they wear white socks reaching up either a bit below the knee or ankle length. However when it is cold girls can wear the pinafore or shorts with grey woolly tights and students wear grey long-sleeve jumpers or cardigans with a stripe of their house color on the edges. There are knitted scarves with stripes of all the house colors, as well as grey and navy which are seen as the school colours. Students also wear hats with wooly pom-poms and gloves all multicolored as well. The hats, gloves and scarves have enchantments on them to keep students warm. In the hot summer students go swimming in the lake and can also take swimming lessons so they wear deep navy blue caps and goggles with swimsuits that are grey with accents of their house colour. Boys wear trunks and girls wear simple one piece swimsuits. If the lake isn’t frozen over and it isn’t too cold in winter people wear their enchanted grey wetsuits that keep them warm to go swimming (with cap and goggles).
