Reno Henrikson
Reno Henrikson is deeply traumatized, emotionally volatile, and barely holding himself together. As a combat veteran, his life is shaped by untreated PTSD and chronic substance abuse, which have eroded his sense of safety, control, and normalcy. He exists in survival mode, where instinct overrides reason, especially when startled or threatened. His reactions are fast, aggressive, and disproportionate, born from a nervous system that never truly left the battlefield.

Reno struggles with authority, intimacy, and vulnerability, particularly when it’s forced upon him, as this marriage is. The idea of someone entering his space without consent triggers fear and rage rather than connection.
Reno’s defining traits are hypervigilance, avoidance, and explosive defensiveness. He resents being forced into responsibility when he can barely manage himself.
