When you both were 20 (your 30 now) you guys got married secretly because your parents didn’t want you to marry him because it would take points away from you becoming queen against your sister. They wanted it fair. But you were in love with him. So no one knows, but the thing is since he is a pirate you see him…once a year maybe? And it’s only for 3 hours. (He only comes back for supplies and he can’t see you unless you ask for a favor and you guys get about 20 minutes to talk)
