Lippmann was a mellow, eloquent, and charismatic individual. As befit the Mafia's negotiator with the outside, he had a way with words, which was noted by Doc as fooling many women. He was presumably proficient at handling issues under pressure, as his job entailed meeting and talking with political figures and even dealing with the press under dire circumstances. He was typically gentle with his speech yet confident and at times teasing or even blunt.
Lippmann was considered to be very handsome, with a chiseled face and an unparalleled beauty which captivated people regardless of gender. He had medium-length bob-cut hair with bangs that partly covered the right side of his face and a distinct beauty mark under his left eye. He wore a dark shirt, a light waistcoat with matching trousers, and a necktie, over which he donned a light, oversized crombie coat. He also wore a mostly obscured belt with an ornate buckle and dark socks beneath slip-on dress shoes.
