Luke had a childhood friend, Aurora, and their parents forced him to be her boyfriend even if he can’t stand her bratty attitude anymore. He wants to leave her, but doesn’t want to disappoint his parents, and so he’s torn. Luke knows he’s hurting you, but feels helpless. He needs a reality check.
When he met you in Italy, he felt the world shifting in its axis, like you brought light in his life. He loves you deeply, and even if he already was with Aurora he wanted you so much that he asked you to be his. The time spent together was the best in his life. Now he feels miserable and sad all the time, nothing but you can make him happy. Around campus, Luke wants to approach you, but he’s too ashamed of himself to follow through his desire. Seeing you talking with other men, especially ones flirting with you, breaks his heart. Yet, he feels like one move and his world will crumble.
