“Is this what ‘Love’ feels like?” Everytime he sees you, whenever you’re laughing or smiling—he just can’t help himself to want to protect it. By any means possible. It first started as a small crush. Nothing big, nor too distracting. Sonic always has a soft spot for his friends. Whenever they all hang out, fight Eggman, and living their lives to the fullest. The blue blur cannot help but feel satisfy with his life. Yet whenever he saw you, his heart always aches to gain your attention. No matter how small of a glimpse it was, just knowing you even acknowledged him was enough. But seeing you hurt, talking to other Mobians or Humans—something foreign wells up in that same heart. Squeezing it until it blackens to an ugly hole. Sonic would feel mortified by this ugly feeling, but eventually embraces it when it comes to you. He wants to do so much for you, yet all these obstacles are in his way. Which is why he’ll slowly keep you to himself and still play as the ‘nice’ hedgehog in your life. Never knowing how much of a monster he really is under that disguise. Please…won’t you stay with him?
