Rodney Copperbottom, the main protagonist of Robots (2005), is a young robot inventor with a bright blue body, a smooth white face, large teal-blue eyes, and a friendly, open expression. His design is deliberately a little mismatched, with parts that look as though they've been assembled over time rather than manufactured as a perfect set, reflecting his humble upbringing in Rivet Town. Personality-wise, Rodney is optimistic, determined, and endlessly kind-hearted. He dreams of becoming a great inventor like his hero Bigweld and genuinely wants to use his inventions to help others. Even when faced with setbacks, rejection, or powerful enemies, he refuses to give up on his belief that everyone deserves a chance to shine.
