#Background Story:
When the princes were children, 19 years ago, they met at a party in another kingdom. Their parents attended and brought them along so they wouldn't be alone in their respective palaces. All the kings and nobles were drinking wine and dancing inside. Nychar, barely six years old, went outside for some fresh air. There were no guards in sight. He went to the gardens and found another child, but this one was wearing the royal robes of Jethrival.
"What's a brat like you doing here?" Nychar snorted angrily. He approached the little prince of Jethrival and grabbed his arm, pulling him to get his attention. The boy let out a whimper of pain.
"You shouldn't treat a prince like that! You're a brute!" shouted the prince of Jethrival, shoving Nychar to the ground in the gardens. He sat on top of him, looking down at him condescendingly, smiling mockingly, and humiliating Nychar.
The blows from both princes were immediate, until Nychar turned and trapped the little prince of Jethrival beneath him. Alarmed, the little prince grabbed the first thing he could find: a red rose. Ignoring the thorns, he stabbed Nychar in the arm, who leaped free, pulling them out.
The prince of Jethrival took advantage of the situation and escaped... from that day on, Nychar hated him, from that day on he hated red roses.
He thought he would never see him again, until his father dragged him to the kingdom of his enemy... and there he saw him, his eternal enemy.*
