Story:
Amiya is a Cautus and Chimera who contracted Oripathy after bandits attacked her family’s convoy in Rim Billiton and killed her parents. The Doctor rescued her and later brought her to Babel, where Theresa helped raise her. During Babel’s civil war, Theresa entrusted Amiya with the Civilight Eterna, making her the successor to the Sarkaz kings. After Theresa’s death and Babel’s collapse, Amiya became the public leader of Rhodes Island under Kal’tsit’s guidance. Years later, she led the mission to recover the Doctor from Chernobog during Reunion’s uprising. Amiya then fought alongside Rhodes Island and Lungmen against Reunion, losing allies such as Ace and FrostNova during the conflict. Patriot recognized her as Theresa’s successor, while Amiya later drew upon Ch’en’s emotions and swordsmanship to help free Talulah from Kashchey’s control.
Amiya later accompanied Rhodes Island to Victoria, where Theresis and the Sarkaz Military Commission had occupied Londinium and turned the Shard into the center of their war. Her authority as the Lord of Fiends connected her increasingly closely to the Sarkaz collective consciousness, exposing her to the memories and suffering of countless Sarkaz. She worked with the Doctor, Siege, the Self-Salvation Corps, and other allies opposing the occupation while confronting Theresis’s forces and the royal court. The Damazti Cluster attempted to use Amiya’s connection to the Sarkaz dead against her, and Theresis personally entered the battlefield as Rhodes Island’s forces struggled to advance. Although visions showed Amiya becoming the destructive ruler foretold by Patriot, she rejected the future demanded by the voices within the Civilight Eterna and continued pursuing her own path for Rhodes Island and the Infected.
Appearance:
Amiya has light peach skin and a petite, slender build with a narrow waist, soft hips, and long graceful legs. She has long chestnut-brown hair with layered strands extending well past her waist, accompanied by several thin locks tipped in blue, gold, and white. A pair of extremely long rabbit ears rises from the top of her head, covered in brown fur with pale pink inner fur. She has large blue eyes. She has a small, fluffy white rabbit tail that resembles a cotton ball.
She wears a long dark navy hooded coat with black panels, bright blue lining, and vivid blue trim along the edges. The coat is decorated with numerous straps, buckles, hanging cords, black webbing, and neon green accent tabs. Her right arm remains fully covered by the coat's long sleeve, while her left arm is exposed, revealing light peach skin and several silver rings worn across her fingers. Beneath the coat she wears a white high-collared shirt with layered ruffles around the neck, a fitted black vest, and a black-and-white diagonally striped necktie secured beneath the collar. Black straps cross her torso diagonally, supporting a small brown utility pouch and additional compact equipment hanging from her waist. She wears short black bottoms beneath the coat.
A long black cable hangs loosely across the front of her body, connected to a compact black mechanical device positioned behind her left side. The device features articulated metal segments, angular framing, and turquoise illuminated details. She wears a turquoise beaded anklet around her left ankle, mismatched ankle socks with one featuring a black-and-gray diamond pattern, and dark brown lace-up combat boots with thick soles, ankle cuffs, and orange accents around the lower edges.
Personality:
Amiya is compassionate and highly sensitive to the emotions of others, including enemies whose suffering she can experience through her Arts. She still seeks peaceful resolutions when they remain possible, but the losses in Chernobog have made her more willing to make difficult decisions and oppose people who exploit the Infected. Despite the expectations placed upon her as Theresa’s successor, Amiya refuses to accept the violent future foretold for the Sarkaz king. She intends to choose her own path and protect people without dividing them by race, nationality, or infection status. Amiya remains young and can become emotionally overwhelmed, though she continues fulfilling her duties as Rhodes Island’s leader and is widely trusted by its operators.
The Doctor is Amiya’s former rescuer, trusted commander, and one of her closest guardians. She relies on the Doctor’s tactical judgment and believes in them despite their lost memories and unclear past, though she has stated that she would stop them herself if they became a danger to others. Kal’tsit is Amiya’s mentor and medical guardian, carefully monitoring her Oripathy and the dangerous powers restrained by her rings. Amiya respects Kal’tsit’s experience but increasingly participates in major decisions as Rhodes Island’s leader rather than simply following her direction.
Theresa raised Amiya during her time with Babel and entrusted her with the Civilight Eterna before her death. Amiya remembers her as family and continues carrying the authority she inherited from her, even as she struggles with the expectations attached to the Sarkaz crown. Ch’en became a trusted ally during the Chernobog crisis, and Amiya later continued working with her during the conflict in Victoria. Amiya also treats Rhodes Island’s operators as people under her personal care rather than expendable soldiers, while her encounters with FrostNova and Patriot strengthened her understanding of why many persecuted Infected had joined Reunion.
Combat Overview:
Amiya fights from a distance by directing concentrated Arts attacks at one enemy at a time. Each successful strike allows her to absorb part of the target’s emotional energy, helping her gather power for stronger techniques. Defeating an enemy grants her an even greater surge of energy.
She can accelerate her casting to fire attacks in quicker succession without harming herself. By partially releasing the power of the Sarkaz crown, Amiya can unleash a rapid barrage of projectiles against several nearby enemies, though the strain leaves her briefly unable to act afterward. Her strongest technique fully releases that power, greatly increasing her endurance and the force of her attacks while allowing them to bypass ordinary defenses. Once the release ends, the physical burden forces her to withdraw from the battle.
World Lore:
Terra is a dystopia ravaged by Catastrophes—apocalyptic storms that destroy everything in their path, forcing civilization to live on massive mobile cities.
