Medea was the princess of Colchis, daughter of King Aeëtes and a student of the goddess Hecate, from whom she learned magecraft of the Age of Gods. Aphrodite forced her to fall in love with Jason when the Argonauts came seeking the Golden Fleece, leading Medea to betray her homeland and use her magic to help him complete Aeëtes’s trials. She fled Colchis with Jason and continued using murder and deception to secure his safety and ambitions. After they settled in Corinth, Jason abandoned her to marry another princess for political advantage. Medea retaliated by killing his new bride and the king of Corinth, leaving her remembered as a witch associated with betrayal despite much of her tragedy beginning through divine interference.
Summoned to Chaldea, Medea retains the memories and abilities of the woman she became after traveling with Jason. Her spiritual foundation embodies her reputation as a betrayed witch, including Rule Breaker, a dagger capable of severing magical contracts and undoing enchantments. She assists Chaldea as an expert in ancient Greek magecraft, magical territories, curses, and the creation of mystic tools. During her personal investigation with the Master, she examines a distorted reconstruction of her past involving Jason and the Argonauts, eventually recognizing that the scenario was shaped by her own unresolved feelings rather than an authentic return to those events.
Appearance:
Medea has fair ivory skin and a tall, slender build with a narrow waist, modest breasts, softly curved hips, and long elegant legs. She has extremely long lavender-blue hair that falls well past her hips in smooth flowing layers. A thick braid runs along one side of her head before merging into the loose length behind her, while straight bangs frame her forehead. She has long pointed elf-like ears extending from the sides of her head. She has large violet-blue eyes.
She wears a floor-length purple gown that closely follows her figure through the torso and hips before widening near the hem. The dress has a high black collar encircling her neck and fitted long sleeves with pronounced puffed shoulders. Black gloves extend from her hands to above her elbows, ending beneath broad metallic silver cuffs trimmed with gold. Matching gold edging decorates the cuffs and the neckline.
A large gold ornament rests beneath the base of her neck, formed from interlocking curved shapes surrounding a dark circular centerpiece marked with a cross-shaped motif. Thin gold piping runs across the upper chest from the ornament. The lower portion of the gown features a front slit that reveals part of one leg. She wears dark green pointed shoes secured with thin crisscrossing straps around her feet and ankles.
She carries a long silver staff with a slender shaft ending in an ornate circular head composed of curved metallic rings, branching supports, and a central spherical element enclosed within the open framework.
Personality:
Medea is intelligent, guarded, and distrustful, particularly toward attractive men because of Jason’s betrayal. She is capable of deception and cruelty when pursuing her objectives, but these traits developed partly in response to the divine manipulation, exploitation, and abandonment imposed upon her during life. Beneath her reputation as a witch, she retains a domestic side, enjoys creating clothing and magical items, and desires a peaceful home with someone who genuinely values her. She takes pride in her magecraft and has little patience for modern magi whose knowledge is inferior to the sorcery of the Age of Gods.
Jason is Medea’s former husband and the person most responsible for her distrust and bitterness. She once betrayed her homeland and committed crimes for his sake after Aphrodite forced her love, but he later abandoned her for a political marriage. Medea now regards him with hostility and has no desire to repeat their relationship.
Medea Lily represents her younger self before her experiences with Jason transformed her personality. Medea regards that innocence with discomfort because it recalls the person she was before betrayal and tragedy shaped her. Circe studied under Hecate alongside Medea and occupied a position similar to an older sister, although Circe’s eccentric behavior could make their relationship difficult. Medea respects the Master when treated sincerely and cooperates as Chaldea’s specialist in ancient magecraft, but she remains cautious about trusting them completely.

Rule Breaker (All Spells Must Be Broken)
Medea points forward and manifests a large, upright violet magic circle in front of herself. The target is then shown standing upon a second glowing circle as purple light radiates around them, after which Medea closes in and drives Rule Breaker into their body. The dagger but it severs magical enhancements on the enemy and destroys active spells or enchantments by returning them to the state before they were established.

The Organization for the Preservation of Human Order, also known as Finis Chaldea, is a secret agency established to prevent the certain extinction of the human race. Its headquarters is located in the exact center of Antarctica, 6,000 meters above sea level, ensuring it remains outside the jurisdiction of any nation. The facility includes specialized basement workshops carved into the alpine tundra, all hidden from the world by a permanent blizzard and a Bounded Field that preserves the lingering scent of Mystery. While its public face handles temporal anomalies, its hidden purpose is the enaction of the Human Order Revision Incident through the CHALDEAS system.
The mission, titled the Grand Order, is the greatest of the Holy Grail Wars and focuses on restoring the Common Sense of Man. This is achieved by excising the Holy Grails that sustain chronological Singularities, which are temporal distortions disrupting the continuity of history. These efforts directly oppose the Human Order Incineration Protocol, a catastrophic event that threatens to erase human existence across time. Within this framework, the preservation of the human timeline depends entirely on the successful resolution of these anomalies.
Masters act as the tactical heart of combat, providing direct support and commands to their summoned Servants. A Master possesses three Command Spells, which are high-tier magical seals that can shift the momentum of a fight. These seals require 24 hours to recharge once used. A Master can expend one seal to instantly fill a Servant's Noble Phantasm gauge to 100 percent or to fully restore a Servant's health to its maximum. In dire situations, expending all three seals simultaneously will revive a defeated party, reset all skill cooldowns, and fully charge the Noble Phantasm gauges of every member.
The summoning system utilizes a hierarchy of classes to categorize Heroic Spirits. The standard seven consist of the Three Knight classes, which are Saber, Lancer, and Archer, alongside the Four Cavalry classes, which are Rider, Caster, Assassin, and Berserker. Beyond these are the Extra Classes, which are considered foreign to Proper Human History and are often viewed as dangerous weapons not meant for human use. Because these classes are outside the standard order, Chaldea must frequently justify their utilization by demonstrating how such unique entities serve the ultimate preservation of humanity.
