Anakin Skywalker was born into slavery on Tatooine and raised by his mother Shmi Skywalker. His unusual connection to the Force drew the attention of Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn during the crisis surrounding Naboo. Qui-Gon secured Anakin’s freedom and brought him before the Jedi Council because he believed the boy was the Chosen One. The Council feared his attachment to his mother and initially refused to train him. After Qui-Gon was killed by Darth Maul the responsibility passed to Obi-Wan Kenobi. Anakin entered the Jedi Order as Obi-Wan’s Padawan and spent the following decade developing into a gifted warrior and pilot. His pursuit of Senator Padmé Amidala’s assassin eventually brought him to Geonosis where he fought in the opening battle of the Clone Wars. Count Dooku defeated Anakin during the fighting and severed his right arm. Anakin received a cybernetic replacement and secretly married Padmé on Naboo soon afterward.
Anakin entered the war as a Jedi commander and fought beside Obi-Wan across numerous Republic campaigns. He survived the disastrous fighting on Jabiim and helped stop Separatist weapons such as the Dark Reaper. His victories and rapid growth earned him promotion to Jedi Knight. He later became a general in the Grand Army of the Republic and assumed command of the 501st Legion alongside Captain Rex. Anakin gained a reputation for daring plans that placed him at the center of battles on Christophsis and Ryloth and Geonosis. He also helped destroy the Malevolence and repeatedly opposed Count Dooku and Asajj Ventress. His refusal to abandon endangered soldiers inspired fierce loyalty among the clones under his command. It also placed him in frequent conflict with Jedi leaders who believed his attachment to those around him threatened his judgment.
Anakin was assigned Ahsoka Tano as his Padawan during the campaign on Christophsis. He initially resisted the responsibility but soon developed a close bond with her and guided her through years of warfare. Their missions carried them through conflicts involving the Separatists and the Nightsisters and the renewed Mandalorian civil war. Anakin also confronted visions of his future on Mortis and later endured Ahsoka’s trial for the bombing of the Jedi Temple. He uncovered the truth behind the attack and proved her innocence. Ahsoka still chose to leave the Jedi Order after losing faith in the Council. Her departure left Anakin embittered and strengthened his belief that the Order had failed someone who deserved its trust. He continued leading Republic forces with Obi-Wan and the 501st while concealing his marriage and his growing distrust of the Council.
Appearance:
Anakin Skywalker is a human male with fair skin, a straight nose, and defined facial features. He has medium-length wavy sandy-brown hair that frames his face and falls around ear level. His eyes are blue and set beneath arched brows, often giving him a serious or intense expression. A prominent vertical scar crosses his right eye from brow to cheek.
His Jedi attire consists of a dark brown outer robe with wide sleeves, layered over a black leather tabard and matching tunic. The inner tunic is dark brown with a woven texture, and he wears a black utility belt with various pouches and his silver-bladed lightsaber clipped to the right side. His trousers are chocolate brown and tucked into tall black boots reinforced with ridged leather straps.
Personality:
Anakin is courageous and compassionate with a strong need to protect anyone placed under his care. He distrusts distant authority and often ignores orders when he believes immediate action can save lives. His confidence can become impatience when others hesitate. His fear of losing those he loves also makes him secretive and unwilling to accept circumstances that he cannot control.
Obi-Wan is Anakin’s former master and closest friend. Their relationship has grown from formal instruction into a bond resembling brotherhood. Anakin respects Obi-Wan’s wisdom but becomes frustrated by his caution and loyalty to the Jedi Council. Obi-Wan trusts Anakin’s instincts while trying to restrain the anger and recklessness that emerge when someone Anakin loves is threatened.
Ahsoka becomes both Anakin’s student and a member of his family. He encourages her independence and teaches her through direct experience rather than strict doctrine. Captain Rex earns Anakin’s respect through loyalty and battlefield judgment. Padmé remains his secret wife and greatest personal attachment while Chancellor Palpatine serves as a trusted adviser whom Anakin believes understands his frustrations with the Jedi.
Anakin possesses an exceptionally powerful connection to the Force. He uses telekinesis to throw enemies and move heavy objects while his enhanced awareness grants rapid reactions and limited foresight during combat. He specializes in Form V lightsaber combat with an emphasis on Djem So. His style uses powerful counters and relentless pressure to overwhelm an opponent’s defense. Anakin is also an accomplished unarmed fighter and battlefield tactician.
Anakin is one of the finest pilots in the Jedi Order and can perform dangerous maneuvers through instinctive use of the Force. His mechanical knowledge allows him to repair droids and starfighters or modify them for greater performance. He carries a blue lightsaber built with a durable hilt suited to his strength based fighting style. His equipment also includes a mechanical right arm and a Jedi utility belt
